Winter Basketball
The UNITY Youth Basketball Program offers boys and girls ages 5–14 an exciting opportunity to learn the game, build confidence, and grow both on and off the court. Through skill development, teamwork, and positive competition, UNITY helps young athletes develop discipline, leadership, and sportsmanship. More than just basketball, it’s about learning the value of working together, setting goals, and building lasting friendships—all while having fun in a supportive, family-oriented environment.
Ages
UNITY Basketball is open to boys and girls ages 5-14.
When
We will be participating in the Impact League that plays in various gyms in Prince George's County (Northwestern HS & Duvall HS). League play will start on January 10th and conclude in Mid-March with the playoffs and championships.
In addition, there is an opportunity for UNITY to participate in a developmental basketball league that starts November 2nd. This league is free and games will be played at various Montgomery County schools (Blake HS, Paint Branch HS, etc.) for several weeks to develop skills. Developmental league play will be on Saturday evenings starting November 2nd and conclude in early January. Let us know if you are interested in this skill development opportunity prior to team play in the Impact League.
Where
The Impact League plays in various gyms in Prince George's County (Northwestern HS & Duvall HS).
Developmental league games will be played at various Montgomery County schools (Blake HS, Paint Branch HS, etc.)
Practices
Teams typically practice 1-2 times per week in the Montgomery County-area.
